We鈥檙e celebrating Tom Coult鈥檚 appointment as the 麻豆官网首页入口 Philharmonic鈥檚 Composer in Association with a new violin concerto created especially for us and co- commissioned with the University of Salford. This piece was written in response to the stunning RHS Garden Bridgewater in Salford and is performed by soloist Daniel Pioro and conducted by Elena Schwarz, making her debut with the orchestra.
We begin with Kurt Weill鈥檚 energetic Second Symphony and end with Ravel鈥檚 exquisite evocation of childhood.
