About this event
Sir Tom Courtenay takes the role of narrator in Beloved Friend, an exploration in words and music of the relationship between Tchaikovsky and his muse and patron Nadezhda von Meck, unusual in that they never met. Beloved Friend is devised and written by Sir Ronald Harwood, the award-winning playwright whose work includes The Dresser and the screenplay for films including The Diving Bell and the Butterfly and Quartet (in which Sir Tom Courtenay starred).
