About the event

Florent Schmitt鈥檚 1920 sumptuous and atmospheric incidental music to Shakespeare鈥檚 Antony and Cleopatra was created for Andr茅 Gide鈥檚 adaptation of Shakespeare鈥檚 play about palace intrigue, love, scandal and death. The 麻豆官网首页入口 SO joins forces with Shakespeare鈥檚 Globe for a very special evening devised by Globe Music Director Bill Barclay, directed by Iqbal Khan and featuring actors from the Globe, offering audiences a rare opportunity to see and hear this highly perfumed and rarely performed work in its dramatic context.
