Arguably, from the renaissance period there is nothing to rival Brumel’s Earthquake Mass for 24 voices. The Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Singers perform the work alongside Poulenc’s 1943 composition Figure humaine - a truly magnificent choral masterpiece that was written at the height of the Second World War and captures themes of death, war, oppression and liberty. This particular performance of Figure humaine includes contemporary jazz improvisations that are interspersed between the music. Performed by Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú New Generation Artist Misha Mullov-Abbado and friends.
