Welsh folk group Calan join 麻豆官网首页入口 NOW to mark St David鈥檚 Day with a UK premiere of C芒n Cnawd y Pridd 鈥� a suite of five compositions inspired by collections of traditional Welsh songs and tunes at the National Library of Wales. The suite, dedicated to the memory of Meredydd Evans - one of the most important song collectors of the 20th Century - is a joint commission between 麻豆官网首页入口 NOW and Orchestre Symphonique de Bretagne.
Cardiff Singer of the World Song Prize finalist Angharad Lyddon also joins the Orchestra to sing 3 Welsh songs and 麻豆官网首页入口 National Chorus of Wales perform Brian Hughes鈥� Noa.
Members of the National Youth Orchestra of Wales will play side by side with 麻豆官网首页入口 NOW and a performance by male voice choir C么r Meibion Taf will take place in the interval. A perfect way to celebrate Wales鈥� national day!
