Is Jackie Chan the most popular movie star in the world? Not such a silly question when you consider what a legend he is all over Asia and nigh on impossible to find anyone in the West that doesn't like the guy.
His appeal shines through in these two documentary films as he discusses many of his movies and opens up his stunt academy to us. In between, we get to find out what some of Hollywood's biggest stars think of him. Never less than enjoyable, this double feature is bound to do well, especially as it's packed with extra features.
Picture quality is fine in terms of clarity and colour. It's presented in the original fullscreen ratio (film clips play in proper ratio) so there's no real room for complaint.
The 2.0 surround mix is lively enough and there are a few effects that whizz around the speakers, especially during "My Story" where we get the low down on some of Jackie's most painful injuries.
Extra features include an interview with writer and co-director Bey Logan. He's able to offer an interesting insight into just how hard it was to make these films due to the strange attitudes some people in Hong Kong appear to have towards their culture.
There's also an entertaining (if occasionally painful for Jackie) outtake montage, plus a further montage from "Operation Condor", a photo gallery and a selection of Jackie Chan trailers.
