Alyson Hannigan

"American Pie 2"

Interviewed by Jane Crowther

Are you enjoying being in England?

I love it. I used to play a lot of soccer so I really like watching a game of footie down the pub.

Was it easy to slip back into playing Michelle after a two-year break since you made the first "American Pie"?

It was pretty easy to get back into it. I just had to listen to my lines from the first one - not to mention all the people who come up to me on the street and say them to me! Michelle never really left me, the script for this was so funny, and everyone was back on board, so it was easy.

Do you identify with her in any way?

Well, I would say that Michelle is pretty open-minded which I'd like to think I am, and she very giving, but that's pretty much where any similarities end. She's just damn weird!

Are you up for "American Pie 3"?

I've always said that "American Pie 3" would have to be many years from now with all the boys taking Viagra. It's difficult because it's not an action movie, it's not "Rocky", so there's only so much you can do before Jim gets institutionalised!

Is there an item you would like to see Jim get into a sticky situation with for a third instalment?

Oh, I don't know, how about silly putty? It's squishy - yeah, silly putty can be fun!
