Owen Wilson and Eddie Murphy wisecrack their way through this glossy action comedy. Which, as you'll find out from the DVD, seems to have been steered by a no-nonsense director.
TECHNICAL FEATURES
Picture Cool and slick, the picture transfer is every bit as sharp as you'd expect from a Columbia TriStar DVD.
Sound The 5.1 sound mix is unashamedly loud and proud and will put your subwoofer to serious work.
SPECIAL FEATURES
Audio Commentary Director Betty Thomas doesn't come across as someone you'd mess with. She's joined for this commentary by: editor Matt Friedman, producer Jenno Topping, and writers Jay Scherick and David Ronn.
When they start discussing the problems of knowing when Murphy and Wilson's characters should meet in the movie, Betty is right in there with a cutting, "Well I knew when. Get them together at the start of the damn movie!" She's pretty honest too about shortcomings she sees in the film, but isn鈥檛 afraid either to single out the stuff that did work.
Cloak and Camouflage The first in a series of short featurettes, this one takes a look at the costumes of the movie. It's none too enthralling, but it's amusing how there was a running theme of Owen Wilson being given crap clothes, while Murphy got nothing but designer gear to wear.
Gadgets and Gizmos Now we're onto the props, and guess who has been left with all the rubbish?
Slugafest Sadly there are no jokes at Owen Wilson's expense here, but you do get to see a superfit Eddie Murphy in boxing training.
Additional Extra Features Also on the DVD is a trailer gallery.
