Oliver Stone has built his reputation directing controversial movies about major events in American political history, such as Platoon, JFK and Nixon. World Trade Center, his latest, is no exception, narrating the experience of two police officers who become trapped under rubble at Ground Zero. Stone talks about the enormous responsibility involved in tackling this subject matter and how, despite the political ramifications of 9/11, this is actually his most "domestic" movie yet.
