Artemisia is an aromatic perennial with pale whitish-green, much divided leaves, silky hairy on both sides and with loose spikes of tiny yellow flowers. It has been used as a herbal remedy for thousands of years in the treatment of such ailments as indigestion, gout and scurvy, and is renowned for its bitter taste. 'Lambrook Silver' is an excellent variety, cultivated for its mass of deeply divided, silver foliage. It is an evergreen perennial that is suitable for rock gardens and garden borders.
