My lasting Memory of World War II is鈥 was born in 1946 just after WWII. I remember ration books as rationing continued until the early 1950鈥檚. However, I carry memories also of my parents experiences i.e. my Mother trained as a fitter in the ROF making parts for the Enfield rifle in the absence of their men who went away. Also, of my father's experiences in the Army in France and Germany. Anderson Shelters still remained at the end of the war.
