I was in ENSA - entertainment national service association. I trained at Park Hall camp and I passed out as a cinema projectionist in 1940. We had films 3 nights a week and on 3 nights a week we had entertainment shows with all the stars and I was the stage manageress. I went to Devizes after about 12 months and I ended up in Donnington in Shropshire where i finished my work. I met all sorts of stars - Joe Loss, Ivy Benson who went around the garrison theatres perfoming for the troops
