Being in London on a 48 hour pass. I was among the thousands of people singing and dancing in the Mall. I can still bring to mind the two purple searchlights forming a 鈥淰鈥 for Victory outside Buckingham Palace before I finished the night sleeping on the grass in Hyde Park 鈥 along with many others.
