My Grandad was an evacuee with 2 brothers. Him and his brother were, taken together.
The house was at the top of a cliff and they owned a lot of land.
When they got there they had some tea and a glass of water each.
The lady he stayed with was very kind and had 1 child; a girl called rose who was very kind, playful, and funny. They missed their sister and would write to their mum Elaine every week asking how their mum and sister was. His house got bombed 2 times.

Many thanks to Miss Karen Richards and to John Keane from Liverpool's Central Library
