I used to look forward to the air raids, because every time we had to go down to the shelter we were given a square of chocolate by my Mam or Dad as we went down the stairs. I don't know where they got it from, but I know I was very lucky- the only trouble is that now when I have a bar or choclate I want hide under the stairs!
