I was born in 1937 and from the age of 7 months I lived in India which means I was there throughout the war. I left for England just 2 weeks after VE day.
I have no first hand knowledge of wartime in England but I do have memories of returning that I feel must be unusual.
I feel quite strongly about adding to the records of the war. I failed to get good detailed accounts from members of my family who could have told me a great deal and realize I have not passed on my information to my children although for the 60th anniversary of VE day it was my grandchildren wanting to know it all ! It just seems a very good thing to do....
