Enlisted in the Loyals in 1939 at Fulwood. Was a Militia Entrant.
Took part in formation of 90th Holding Battalion and rose to rank of Sergeant.Left in 1941 after a call for men with Radio experience to train as Radiolocation engineers and spent quite some time in London and its environs then moved back up to Colne where I met for the first time ATS radar Mechs. Then moved to school of Anti-Aircraft Artillery at Kimnel Park.
Are there any who remember me from the Loyals or does anyone know a man by the name of Worsley (the son of a dance teacher in Preston) and who I believe was killed at Anzio?
Anyone from Kimnel Park (? Bill Withey) remember me.
I got in touch with John Prebble who is now deceased
