I am Ray Griffiths and I served with the 1st Bn The Herefordshire Regiment in Germany from Feb/March 1945,joining them at Haacht in Belgium until their disbandment when I transfered to the 2nd South Wales Borderers and then to the 1st Bn
South Wales Borderers to serve in Cyprus untill Demobbed in 1947.

I am now 79 years of age and have submitted to the bbc.co.uk/ww2 several stories about my experiences at the Teutoburger Wald battle on April 1st to 3rd in which the Herefords and the 3rd Monmouths took part.

The stories also include a diary of a visit made to the area in 2005.
