Welcome to the Teversham CE Primary School People's War page. Our Year 5 and 6 classes, Kestrel and Starling, are studying World War 2 as part of our History work and have been trained by a 麻豆官网首页入口 journalist to interview people about their World War 2 memories.
We held a Tea Party at school on Tuesday 11th October 2005 for local people to come and share their wartime memories. At the Tea Party we waltzed to music of that era, a group did a demonstration of the Lindy Hop/Jive and then over tea, sandwiches and cake we talked to the older people to find out about their wartime experiences and write their story. We really enjoyed it and hope that the older people did too. We collected over 35 stories that day.
We are also collecting stories from family and friends as part of our homework. Three of us also went to Marshall of Cambridge to interview Mr Michael Marshall about his wartime memories.
We are really pleased that we have now exceeded our target of 50 stories but we will continue to collect stories until the end of this term.
Thank you to everyone who has given us a story.
