My Father, Leslie Martin, served in the 2nd Field Ambulance, RAMC and was evacuated from Dunkirk. Later on he joined the REME and worked on radar at a variety of ack-ack sites etc. for the rest of the war.
My Mother, Wynne Hopkins, was in the ATS. After initial training in the Isle of Man, she was based at Queen Ethelburga's School at Harrogate.
