Describes childhood experience on the 'domestic front' in Southeast London, Croydon, Suffolk and Kent. From 1940 to 1945. Two Chapters containing a total of 4,690 words. As my memory of actual events are vague - especially in the early years - the article is largely impressionistic; it tries to describe the atmosphere and impact of the war on my imagination and feelings.
