How do I set the video quality on my connected TV or games console?

  1. Click on Settings听in the left-hand menu:

  2. Select Video Quality.
  3. Choose either Best Quality ON or Best Quality OFF. If you switch it off, you'll get standard definition.听

If you set Best Quality听as the default, 麻豆官网首页入口 iPlayer will still play the SD version for programmes that aren鈥檛 available in HD.

What does Best Quality mean?

You'll see this if your connected TV device or games console supports HTTP Live Streaming (HLS). This allows you to get the best quality video your internet speed can support. Video听playback quality will听adapt to the speed of your internet connection.
