Getting your kit off for charity is all the rage and the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú in Jersey have decided to give it a go with a calendar for Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Children in Need.

To help raise money for the annual event staff at the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú in Jersey have been taking off their clothes and posing for the camera.

The person behind the project is Kate Jennings. This is what she has to say about the calendar, the people involved and how it came about.

This calendar came about after I watched a re-run of the famous film "Calendar Girls" based on the original W.I. Calendar.

Some may say it's passé but I feel celebrating the beauty of people is never passé and, if it raises a LOT of money for Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Children in Need, who cares? The purpose of this project is to raise money for those who need it most.

Children are the future so they deserve the best investment and greatest help in my eyes - being a mother you see!

I would personally like to thank all the members of Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Jersey Staff who gave of their precious free time to pose for these beautiful photos . Yes! I have put my body where my mouth is and posed too.

My HUGE thanks goes to the talented local photographer who took the majority of the photos (10 out of 12) - Bruce Liron. He has put so much effort into this and totally free of charge.

Of course none of this could have happened without Mailmate, the Jersey printers who produced this calendar at cost meaning at least 50% of the money you pay goes to Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Children in Need .

Where from?

You can get the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Jersey Calendar from a number of places around the island for £10 but be quick as there are only 500 available.

You can get the calendar from Co-op supermarkets, The Education Sport and Culture gyms at Fort Regent, Les Quennevais and Springfield and around 50 from Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Jersey in Parade Road. There will also be about 20 at the Canteen at the General Hospital.Ìý

Some of the girls and boys featured in the calendar will be at the Jersey Arts Centre from 19:00 until 20:00 on 11 September to coincide with the performance of HIC – a history of wine – also being put on by the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú to raise money for Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Children in Need.

The stars will be signing a few copies at the event so make sure you get yourself a ticket for HIC.
