Belgian government considers the language spoken in Belgium as Dutch

I would like to remark that even the Belgian government considers the language spoken in Belgium as Dutch. Even the Flemish themselves consider their language in majority as Dutch. Most people consider Flemish as a term the French-speaking upper-class invented to keep the Flemish down by distinguishing their language from Dutch. Some Dutchmen do the same, out of a misplaced sense of superiority, not knowing that their language mainly origins from the Southern Netherlands, that is, what we now call Flanders.
