Austrians in the zoo
I remember when my friend and I were on a French exchange when we were 13, he told me this story. His host family asked him if he liked "Austrian people" (autrichiens) but he thought that they were asking him if he liked ostriches (autruches). He then preceded to tell the family a story in French of how he went to see some Austrians in a zoo and he doesn't like them because they spat on his sister!
