When I was in Germany a few years ago I intended to tell my good friend that I needed to shave my legs. So I confessed: Ich muss meine Beine mähen. She burst into fits of laughter and told me that I had said that I needed to mow my legs! I should have said: Ich muss meine Beine rasieren.
