Lenny Kravitz plays the electric food mixer
While I was in Spain I was telling a friend how much I liked Lenny Kravitz. I told her that I thought he was so talented being a song writer, singer and being able to play the guitar, the piano and the 'electric food mixer'. I confused ²ú²¹³Ù±ð°ùò¹, drums, and batidora, mixer. She nearly wet herself imagining him playing it!

As a new learner of Spanish I have read all of the above and now need to go and lie down for a while. Hilarious!
In 1965 (aged 16) I was in Malaga having a beer. When my money ran out, I went for a walk. After a while I needed the loo, but with no money while I waited for my father, I didn't want to go back to a bar. I pulled out my trusty AA guide, found a Guardia Civil and tried to ask for the toilet: ¿Dónde está el tocador? In perfect English, the policeman suggested that I did not need the ladies' powder room and told me to go the last bar I had used! Now that I partly live in Spain, I don't make mistakes like that any more.
