From Friday 24th to Sunday 26th March the 6 Music Festival is taking place across the city of Glasgow - three days of extraordinary live music, interviews, DJ mixes, poetry and comedy encapsulating the alternative spirit of 麻豆官网首页入口 Radio 6 Music.

You'll be able to watch many of the performances right here on the 6 Music Festival website. Here are 6 not to miss.

1. Depeche Mode return to Barrowlands

Synth legends Depeche Mode will be performing on Sunday 26 March at the Barrowland Ballroom in Glasgow, a rare intimate gig in a venue they last played way back in 1984.

It's set to be one of only two Depeche Mode gigs in the UK this year and you can watch their set live, as it happens on the 6 Music Festival website - and on your TV via the Red Button - on Sunday from 9pm.

2. Goldfrapp

Watch Goldfrapp at the 2014 Glastonbury Festival

Goldfrapp have been responsible for some of the most original and influential pop music in recent history - forming a blueprint for contemporary electro pop. With a new album due at the end of March, they're headlining Glasgow's O2 Academy venue on Friday night for the 6 Music Festival this year.

Ahead of their appearance Will and Alison treated us to two hours of their favourite tunes in a special 6 Music programme.

You can catch them live on the 6 Music Festival website and on the Red Button on Friday 24th March - watch the live stream from 6.45pm.

3. Loyle Carner

Giving voice to new talent is one of 6 Music's trademarks, and Loyle Carner's collaboration with spoken word artist Kate Tempest, Guts, was added to the playlist in 2015. The following year he was shortlisted for 麻豆官网首页入口 Music's Sound of 2016. Also championed by 麻豆官网首页入口 Music Introducing, this performance from the Introducing stage at Glastonbury in 2015 proves seeing him perform live is a must.

Explore the delights of Loyle Carner live from Barrowlands on Saturday 25th March on the 6 Music Festival Website and on the Red Button on your TV - watch live from 5.15pm.

4. Belle and Sebastian

Formed in Glasgow more than 20 years ago, Belle & Sebastian are one of Britain's best-loved indie bands. They've released nine albums, been recognised by the NME for their Outstanding Contribution to Music, and will bring the 6 Music Festival's shows at the O2 Academy to a close on Sunday night.

You can catch their full performance online at the 6 Music Festival website from Monday 27th March.

5. Thundercat

Multi-genre bass guitarist, producer and singer Stephen Bruner, aka Thundercat, has music engrained in his soul. He played with his brother in West Coast punk vets Suicidal Tendencies, playing bass on their worldwide tours while still in high school, and his dad is an internationally renowned jazz drummer who played with The Temptations, Diana Ross and Gladys Knight.

Do not miss what is bound to be an explosion of sound and colour on Saturday 25th March from 5.15pm live on the Red Button and on the 6 Music Festival website.

6. Warpaint (and the rest of the line up!)

American indie all girl rock band Warpaint will join the outstanding Barrowland Ballroom line up on Friday 24th March. You can catch their full set from 25th March until 23rd April on the 6 Music Festival website.
