We look forward to welcoming everyone to 麻豆官网首页入口 Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Hull and will have various facilities in place to assist disabled audience members with tickets.

We will also consider requests for additional, complimentary, PA/Companion tickets for those requiring one.

If you would like to use some or all of our facilities, please notify us by Friday 12th May to give us time to make the appropriate arrangements. Some facilities will only be available to a limited number of users and telling us your needs in advance will help us in the planning process. Anyone turning up on the day without making prior arrangements may not be able to access all of these facilities if they are full to capacity. Radio 1 is working with a specialist disabled access team to help ensure your visit goes smoothly and it will be this team that contacts you to help with any queries.

Those hoping to attend will need to apply for tickets when they become available in the normal way.

At the bottom of the payment page there will be a tick box option which you can select to request access to disabled customer facilities at the event. If you tick this box you will be emailed a registration form, which needs to be filled in and returned. Within the form you can request access and provide us with any additional information we may need to know.

Should you forget to tick this box, or if the form fails to arrive, you will also be able to email our team directly. Please make sure you include your name, the day(s) you are attending and any requirements you have. The final date for registering is Friday 12th May 2017.

The event will be taking place at Burton Constable Hall, Hull.

By Car: For disabled customers arriving by private vehicle, limited Blue Badge parking spaces will be available at this event. Use of the Blue Badge parking is free of charge but we advise customers to book a space in advance. Anyone turning up on the day without making prior arrangements may not be able to access our facilities if they are full to capacity.

To book parking please notify us on the disabled access registration form or email with the following information.

We will require the below information from you in order to book you a space:

• Date you are attending
• Approximate time you are planning to arrive
• Name (Blue Badge Holder)
• Contact Number
• Vehicle Registration Number
• Make & Model of the vehicle
• Number of people travelling in the vehicle
• Address to post your car parking ticket to

The venue will be signposted from the outskirts and at major junctions within a 5-mile radius. On the approach please follow the disabled parking signage.

By Train, Bus or Taxi: .

Viewing Platforms:

• The viewing platforms are for those disabled guests who would be unable to view the concert by any other means. In the main part this is most relevant to wheelchair users, those unable to stand for long periods or people who find being amongst big crowds difficult. It is for this reason that these guests are given priority in accessing the platform.
• Each of these people are able to have their +1 PA with them. In extremely busy periods PAs may be asked to move to the rear of the platform where direct one to one support is not required. The platforms operate on a first come, first served basis and we cannot guarantee access to platforms at extremely busy periods. In the event of the viewing platforms becoming full we will operate a one in one out process. PLEASE NOTE: All viewing platforms operate a strict no smoking policy.

Seating:

• Will be provided on each platform for anyone who is not a wheelchair user, including a seat for guest’s PA/companion. Folding chairs are NOT permitted into the event.

Toilets:

• There are unisex accessible toilets located in some toilet blocks on the site and specifically by the viewing platforms. We also provide unisex standard toilets at the viewing platforms for non-wheelchair users & PA/companions.

Electrical Charging Facility:

• The location of where we can provide power points is still to be confirmed. Should you need to charge your wheelchair on the day please ask a member of staff on the viewing platform and they will be able to confirm this location.

Customers with Hearing Impairments:

• An induction loop will be available near to the main stage viewing platform. If you have any questions regarding this facility, please email us.

Strobe Lighting:

• You are advised that flicker, laser, strobe, fireworks and other lighting effects may be used during some performances.

Medication:

• If you need to bring medication with you, we recommend bringing a doctor’s note or a prescription if it is not easily recognisable as bag searches will be made.

Documents:

• It is important that we are able to identify those people who genuinely need the access and facilities we provide and sadly we are always faced with people trying to exploit this.
• Customers requesting use of disabled access facilities and/or PA/Companion ticket need to return the disabled access registration form with copies of sufficient medical documentation to support their application and to validate their request.
• Examples of some of the supporting information we accept:

1. DLA/PIP entitlements clearly stating the levels of mobility and/or care awarded
2. The Access Card ()
3. Medical letter(s) giving a brief description on your situation; and/or other medical documentation pertaining to your disability.

Please note our disabled customer facilities are designed for use solely by disabled visitors to the event and we are not able to extend their use to those with short-term injuries, for example with broken legs, or women who are pregnant.

A few things for you to consider which might be of benefit for you when attending. Arrive after the gates have opened so you are not queuing for long periods of time around people. When leaving the event either leave 10/15 minutes early or stand back at the end and let the crowds clear, either of these will mean you are not in the thick of the crowd during the busiest times.

We have both welfare and first aid on site so if you need anything at all, even if it's to sit down for a rest, please pop to these points and they will be able to assist.
