School set for £250,000 special needs improvement

A Hereford primary school is set for a £250,000 redevelopment to cater for pupils with special needs.
Lord Scudamore Academy adaption will consist of new extensions to the main building, as well as some internal remodelling.
This will provide space for hygiene and physiotherapy rooms and other new facilities.
The work is expected to take place between 17 July and 29 September once a successful contractor has been chosen.
It comes after Herefordshire Council approved work totalling more than £100,000 to adapt two other schools, St Paul’s Primary School and Withington Primary School, for the same purpose.
The council also made Hampton Dene Primary School an "early years assessment base" for children with complex learning difficulties.
"Demand continues to increase and additional capacity is urgently required," with 150 extra specialist places likely to be needed over the next four years, the council said at the time.
