Boy, 13, arrested on suspicion of sexual offences

A 13-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with a number of sexual offences in the Newfoundpool area of Leicester.
Leicestershire Police said he was arrested by officers in the early hours of Friday on suspicion of attempted rape, sexual assault of a woman and possession of a knife blade or sharp pointed article in a public place.
The offences were reported to have happened between 23:00 and 03:00 BST on 10, 29 and 31 July in the Stephenson Drive and Beatrice Road areas.
The force said the boy remained in custody, where he was being questioned.
Det Insp George Fraser said: 鈥淥ur investigation into these incidents is continuing and we would still ask anyone who can help, but who has not yet contacted police, to come forward.
"Any information you鈥檙e able to provide could assist us.鈥
