Pedestrian hit by car in crash near Newtownards

Police are appealing for information after a serious collision between a car and a pedestrian on the Ards peninsula on Thursday afternoon.
It happened at around 15:30 BST in the Ballyblack Road East area, between Newtownards and Carrowdore.
A young female was taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital by air ambulance for treatment for her injuries.
Police have asked for anyone who may have witnessed the collision or anyone with CCTV, dashcam or other footage to get in touch.
