A blaze that damaged a portable cabin in Derbyshire is believed to have been started deliberately, a fire service has said.

Crews went to the scene just off Lady Hole Lane, in Yeldersley, on Tuesday night.

On X, formerly Twitter, Ashbourne Fire Station said the fire "is believed to have been deliberately set".

The post advised people to be "extra vigilant" during school holidays and report any fire setting.

A fire service spokesperson confirmed the incident had been handed to Derbyshire Police.

Crews from Kingsway Community Fire Station and Wirksworth Fire Station were also in attendance.

Derbyshire Police has been approached for more information.
