Two men from the West Midlands are being hunted by police after a large heroin haul was seized.

Investigators want to speak with Shamut Khan, 54, and Matiullah Zamankhel, 21, after 420kg (926lb) of the drug, thought to be worth tens of millions of pounds, was discovered in a raid.

The pair, from Bordesley Green, Birmingham, failed to answer bail on 23 November.

They are known to have links to the Alum Rock and Shaw Hill Road areas of the city.

Officers 'won't rest'

NCA Branch Commander Derek Evans urged anybody with information on the whereabouts or movements of the men to get in touch.

He also appealed to the two men directly, asking them to make contact with officers.

鈥淜han and Zamankhel will know they are wanted by the NCA and this must be a stressful experience," Mr Evans said.

"We won鈥檛 rest until we have tracked them down.鈥
