A family-run South Yorkshire wildlife park has won an industry award for its butterfly house.

The Tropical Butterfly House Wildlife Conservation Park in North Anston won gold in the British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquariums' horticulture awards.

The new insect haven, which opened in April 2023, was designed to showcase the relationships between butterflies and their environment.

Head gardener Rachel Barrowcliffe said: "It is so rewarding to have our work acknowledged.鈥
