Man suffers life-threatening injuries in crash

An elderly man has suffered life-threatening injuries after a car crashed into a wall, police said.
Devon and Cornwall Police said the incident happened about 11:50 BST on Saturday on Steartfield Road in Paignton.
It said the female driver of the white Ford Fiesta Zetec was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The passenger, a man in his 90s from Torquay, was taken to Derriford Hospital with serious injuries, the force said.
It said the road was shut for about four hours while officers carried out a forensic investigation of the scene.
The force has asked any witnesses to get in touch with them.
