Police seize 拢300k cash following vehicle pursuit
A sum of cash in excess of 拢300,000 was located in the car

About 拢300,000 in cash has been seized during a police pursuit outside Newry on Monday.
Police said the driver of a black Audi failed to stop upon request and continued at speed through heavy traffic onto the A1 from the Dublin Road near Cloghoge.
The pursuit continued along the dual carriageway until the car was eventually brought to a controlled stop by officers.
A search carried out on the vehicle revealed the large sum of cash in excess of 拢300,000.
Detective Inspector Sweeney said: 鈥淵esterday鈥檚 stop-and-search and subsequent arrest was a result of collective efforts from across various specialist Police Service departments."
A 44-year-old man has been charged with possessing criminal property, concealing criminal property and entering into an arrangement to acquire criminal property.
He has also been further charged with dangerous driving and failing to stop for police.
The man is due to appear before Newry Magistrates' Court on Wednesday morning
