Tinder introduces the ability to share profiles so you can become a matchmaker

You can now become a matchmaker on Tinder.

The new feature lets you share profiles you've come across with contacts in your phone.

By tapping the share button, the app will create a link which expires after five clicks or after three days - whichever comes first.

And if you click on a profile that's shared with you and swipe right, your profile may appear in their recommendations.

The matchmaking feature is being trialled in different places around the world.

But if it all gets a bit much and your friends (or intrusive family members) start marrying you off to people who aren't your type at all, you can opt out.

The share button could potentially be good news for your phone memory.

It means you won't have loads of screenshots of different profiles when you want to get a second opinion before you swipe right.

Tinder recently revealed the top 15 most-swiped jobs on the dating app.
