A Humberside Police PC who admitted drink driving and carrying a knife has been sacked.
Jamie Tyler-Jones, 42, was found guilty of gross misconduct at a disciplinary hearing in Goole, East Yorkshire.
Chief Constable Lee Freeman said his actions had "undermined public confidence in the police".
Tyler-Jones, who did not attend the hearing, had denied breaching police regulations.
He was almost three times over the drink-drive limit when he was stopped near Aylesby, North East Lincolnshire, in October 2017.
Tyler-Jones, from Grimsby, pleaded guilty to drink driving and possessing a bladed article, a lock knife, at a hearing at Grimsby Magistrates' Court on 13 September.
He was fined 拢300 and banned from driving for 20 months.
Humberside Police said he was off-duty at the time of the offence but was removed from operational duty throughout the investigation into his conduct.
Giving his ruling at the disciplinary hearing, Mr Freeman said there were "complex issues" in Tyler-Jones' personal life which he hoped he would get help for.
But Mr Freeman said the officer's actions deserved dismissal without notice to "ensure the public has confidence in our integrity".
In mitigation, Pete Musgrave, of the Police Federation, said Tyler-Jones, who had served as a constable for 13 years, believed he could "still be an asset to the organisation".
