Kent Police arrest six at Swanley car boot fair

Six people have been arrested and more than 700 DVDs seized at a car boot fair in Kent.
Police and trading standards team went to the event at Swanley on Sunday after a tip-off about the sale of fake clothing and DVDs.
Four men were arrested on suspicion of committing offences under the Trademark Act.
Two Chinese nationals, who were selling fake DVDs, were arrested on suspicion of entering the UK illegally.
Both were handed over to the UK Border Agency.
PC Ian Packer said: "We had fantastic feedback from those attending the boot fair and other stall holders about the action we took against these individuals, as it makes a mockery of those who are running their stalls legitimately.
"The sale of counterfeit clothing and DVDs is an insidious crime and can often be used to fund organised gangs and more serious criminal activity such as people and weapons trafficking.
"People engaged in these counterfeiting offences, quite often, do not realise that all the offences carry a sentence of up to 10 years' imprisonment."
