An 18-year-old man has been charged after a bus crashed into a house following a collision with a car.

A blue Ford Fiesta and the bus collided on Main Road, in Radcliffe-on-Trent, Nottinghamshire, on Saturday night.

The man, from West Bridgford, has been charged with failing to stop after a road accident and failing to stop when required by an officer.

He has been bailed and is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates' Court next month.

The man is also accused of driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence and driving without insurance.

The bus was carrying 15 passengers, but no-one was seriously injured.

Three teenagers inside the car have been released with no further action.

Nottinghamshire Police confirmed the car was not being actively pursued when the collision occurred.
