'Telford sex ring' accused to be retried in 2012

Nine men from Shropshire accused of sexual exploitation and child prostitution are due to be retried in the new year.
The first trial at Stafford Crown Court ran for more than three months but collapsed for legal reasons on 6 September.
Two of the nine defendants from Telford were exempt from the first trial due to illness.
The judge said a date and venue for the retrials would be set on 14 October.
Three trials requested
The nine are accused of more than 50 charges relating to incidents alleged to have happened to six teenage girls between 2007 and 2009.
The Crown Prosecution has asked that the cases be heard in three separate trials.
The accused in the first trial would be Ahdel Ali, 23, and his brother Mubarek Ali, 28, both of Regent Street, Wellington; Mohammed Ali Sultan, 24, of Victoria Avenue, Wellington; Noshad Hussain, 21, of Regent Street, Wellington; Mohammed Younis, 59, of Kingsland, Arleston, Telford; and Mohammed Islam Choudhrey, 52, of Solway Drive, Sutton Hill, Telford.
The cases against Tanveer Ahmed, 39, of Urban Gardens, Wellington, and Mahroof Khan, 33, of Caradoc Flats, Wellington, would be heard in a second trial.
Prosecutors have asked that other charges against Mohammed Younis be heard in a third trial along with charges against Abdul Rouf, 34, of Kingsland, Arleston, Telford.
