Van driver charged over death of Strathaven pedestrian
A man has been charged over the death of a pedestrian in South Lanarkshire last year.
Three pedestrians were struck by a van on the A726, Glasgow Road, Strathaven, at about 10:50 on Saturday, 1 April, 2023.
A 29-year-old man died at the scene and two women, aged 52 and 24, received hospital treatment for their injuries.
Police said the 48-year-old van driver is expected to appear in court at a later date.
