Man found injured in Lockerbie street dies in hospital
A 27-year-man has died in hospital after being found injured on a street in a south of Scotland town.
Police Scotland said officers had been called out to Townhead Street in Lockerbie at about 05:50.
In a statement, it added that he had been taken by ambulance to Dumfries Infirmary where he had died a short time later.
Police said there were no suspicious circumstances and a report would be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
