Eoghan Quigg

Eoghan

Peter Robinson and Martin McGuinness asked everyone to support Dungiven's Eoghan Quigg - the teenager who was in the final of the X Factor competition.

He's captured the hearts of millions. But on Saturday night the X Factor dream ended for the pride of Dungiven, Eoghan Quigg.

The sixteen year old, who's tipped for a big future, came third in the ITV contest but many Quigg fans complained they couldn't get through to vote.

Despite the disappointment Eoghan's due to have talks with the pop gurus Louis Walsh and Simon Cowell. And he'll get some welcome home when he returns to Dungiven.

From there, our North-West reporter, Keiron Tourish reports

As far as his home-town is concerned there was no other contender for the title.

Eoghan-mania swept from Dungiven to Londonderry last week where thousands gathered to see him on a quick trip home. Natasha Sayee reports.

麻豆官网首页入口 Newsline's Eimear Flanagan was in Dungiven on semi-final night. She was there for all the nail-biting and finger-crossing as everyone waited, hoping Eoghan would get through.

Our North-West Reporter Keiron Tourish was in the town last week to sample the excitement.
