Storm Darcy: More heavy snow forecast for parts of UK

The Met Office - the UK's national weather service - said it was "bitterly cold" over the weekend due to strong winds and temperatures in parts of the UK would continue to remain around freezing.
Kent in England has already seen heavy snow over the weekend. An amber warning - meaning travel disruption and power cuts are likely - is in place until midday on Monday.

...while others might be feeling the chill (Burgh in Suffolk).
There were also snowy conditions on the roads near Bradfield Dale in South Yorkshire. There is an amber warning for snow in the East Midlands and Yorkshire and Humber until 2pm today.

Eyam in Derbyshire also saw snow fall overnight into Sunday. Public Health England has issued a cold weather alert for the whole nation through to Wednesday. It said it was "crucial" people looked out for those who may be vulnerable during the current cold snap
Skiers made the most of Sunday's snowfall in Wye National Nature Reserve near Ashford in Kent.
But a vaccination centre at the Jobserve Community Stadium in Colchester, Essex, was forced to close on Sunday because of the weather.
