FA Diary: Monday 17 March, 2003
PHEW!!!!! Well, as quickly as it arrived, we have
all bid goodbye to the show that gripped the nation – Comic Relief
Does Fame Academy!
Sorry this last diary entry is a bit late, but
as you can see, there was rather a lot of clearing up to do at the
end of the show!
It was a fantastic week as we went from nine students
to the final two - and Holly and I were there every step of the
way!
CÂ鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú kicked off the whole week on Friday as Paul
Ross left the Academy. He was followed by Fearne, Jo, John, Ulrika,
Doon and Kwarme (who has secretly had a few calls from top record
labels! Shhhh!) - leaving Will and Ruby in the Grande Finale!
Talking of Ruby, she has to be my fave student!
The highlight of the week has to have been when she invaded our
studio when we were live on air to appeal for votes at the last
minute!
Having her on the show was great, but I wasn’t
so keen on the Y-fronts with VOTE RUBY scrawled across them! Will
was her opponent on the final and was quite desperate to be successful.
(Top Gossip Moment - Will actually had a number
5 hit in 1998 and was left badly hurt after being released from
his recording contract – so had a few scores to settle!!!)

The final evening at the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú was great and was
a brilliant end to a show that raised over £600,000 for Comic Relief.
Ruby’s performance was, shall I say, interesting! And Will, on voice
alone, probably deserved the win… however, all the students were
winners in the end!
I had a brilliant week, meeting all the students
and hangin’ out with the likes of Cat Deeley and Patrick Kielty!
And, the best news was the T-Shirt and Red Nose Day towel that all
the celebs exclusively signed for you to win. So, make sure you
enter the competition to win.
Finally, thanks to everyone who called to vote
and gave money to Comic Relief! All that is left now, is for the
workmen to clear out the Academy and leave it as the posh country
house it is! However, the walls will remember the likes of Ruby,
Jo, and Ulrika for evermore!!
