Follow Tom's step-by-step guide to make your own animal
to celebrate the Chinese Year of the Snake. Please
ask an adult to help with the stapler and scissors!

You
will need:
Three
toilet roll tubes
Green paint
Coloured card or paper
String or wool - two pieces the same length
A stapler (ask an adult to help)
Scissors
A black marker pen
A glue stick

Cut
your toilet roll tubes in half. Paint all the separate pieces
in one colour - we have used green paint. |
|

When
the paint has dried, take two pieces and staple one end
of each shut. These will be the head and tail (see the top
picture!). Get an adult to help you use the stapler. |

Then
cut the stapled end into a head and tail shape by cutting
the corner pieces off. |

a snake tongue shape out of some card - we used red! |
