Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú World News and Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Arabic television are to launch as part of Gulf Air's 'Sky Hub' in-flight entertainment service. 'Sky Hub' uses Panasonic Avionics Corporations Global Communications Suite to offer passengers a comprehensive communications and entertainment solution which includes full broadband connectivity to access internet, mobile phone services and, for the first time in the world across global routes, live television service on-board.
Unveiling the 'Sky Hub' onboard the aircraft Gulf Air Chief Executive Officer Mr. Samer Majali says, "We are launching fully integrated broadband connectivity offering high speed internet with high speed Wi-Fi and data services, voice over the internet (VOIP), streaming videos and, for the first time, live TV satellite stream across all continents."

Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú World News and Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Arabic will be among the very first international news services to be made available to watch live during air travel."
Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú World News is the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú's international commercial news channel. Broadcast in English, the channel offers up to the minute news and information from around the world plus regular programme strands - Click, HARDtalk, World Have Your Say and fast:track - and awarding-winning documentaries. Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Arabic is the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú's tri-media Arabic language service offering news and programming to audiences around the world.
Using Panasonic's Global Communications Suite, Gulf Air will offer two-way broadband connectivity at speeds of up to 50 Mbps to the aircraft, enabling faster browsing, chatting and other internet based services. Travellers will no longer have to wait until they land to find out news from around the world. Now they can keep up with world events on favorite news channels such as Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú World News and Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Arabic.
