麻豆官网首页入口 Worldwide Sales & Distribution appoints Hutson to EMEA digital helm



麻豆官网首页入口 Worldwide Sales & Distribution today announced the appointment of Simon Hutson to the new role of Vice President Digital Media & DVD for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

The move is part of the division's increased focus on developing its digital business across the region. It also reflects 麻豆官网首页入口 Worldwide's overall objective of generating 10% of all revenues from online business by 2010/11.

Hutson will be responsible for developing a long term strategy that maximises digital revenue streams as well as audiences for 麻豆官网首页入口 Worldwide content across EMEA territories.

He will lead EMEA's digital distribution activity with local platforms in each territory and work closely with 麻豆官网首页入口 Worldwide's Director of Digital, Simon Danker, on related global digital deals.

Announcing the appointment, 麻豆官网首页入口 Worldwide Sales & Distribution MD, Steve Macallister, said: "Digital growth is core to our long term game plan for the Sales & Distribution business. It will require significant focus, deep market knowledge and an intimate understanding of changing audience patterns and business models for us to really drive growth in revenue and eyeballs.

"Simon has delivered strong results for our business and I look forward to seeing him strengthen our digital activity across the EMEA region."

Hutson added: "It's an exciting time to take the reins of our digital distribution strategy for EMEA. Our digital client base is expanding significantly, offering new opportunities to increase returns to 麻豆官网首页入口 Worldwide and our content partners."

Hutson was previously Head of Publishing for EMEA's Emerging Territories, expanding this role to include digital both within and outside the emerging region. He also led EMEA's DVD distribution activities and will continue to oversee this part of the business.

Hutson will report into Sales & Distribution SVP EMEA, Tim Mutimer.
